About My Soaps...
All of my soaps are made from combinations of saponified vegetable oils such as Olive, Coconut, Palm, Apricot Kernel, Avocado and Rice Bran, and nourishing butters such as Shea, Cocoa and Mango Butter. Each is chosen for its unique contribution to nourish and moisturize your skin, making them excellent for both face & body. Only pure, natural herbs and essential oils are used to scent, color and texturize the soaps. Most of the herbs are oganically grown in my own garden. Synthetic fragrances or colorants are never used. These ingredients are blended together, poured into handmade wooden molds, cut into bars and are left to cure for a minimum of three weeks. I craft my soap in small batches only, to ensure freshness. A great deal of care goes into my soapmaking process, and a superior quality bar is the end result. I have done extensive research on the herbs and oils used and select them not only for their unique healing properties on the skin but also for their aromatherapeutic values. They will benefit both the outer and inner you. My soaps will moisturize dry skin, balance oily and mixed skin types, and leave your skin soft, smooth and healthy.
Why Natural Soap...
Natural soap is rich in glycerin, a beneficial moisturizer and a natural by-product of cold-process soap. It is removed from commercially manufactured soap to be sold separately for its moisturizing qualities. Commercial soaps are nearly always made from tallow (animal fat) and contain a variety of synthetic chemicals that often irritate and dry your skin. When you remove all the oil from the surface of your skin, you are actually causing it to work harder to replenish it, often causing excess oil to be produced. I use only vegetable oils and pure, natural ingredients to scent and color my soap to bring you an animal-friendly, moisture-balancing, holistically wonderful new (or should I say "Olde") approach to your daily bathing ritual.
